Back where it all began
Tim Lally Chevrolet has been around since 1923, which isn’t shocking whatsoever. Their existence came to be in Cuyahoga county with its award-winning customer service, strong attention to detail, and dedicated staff making it the go-to Chevrolet dealer. Once Tim Lally passed away unexpectedly, it left his son Mike Lally with some tough and unexpected decisions to make. While it was always his legacy to follow in his father’s footsteps, it didn’t make the process any easier. Nonetheless, Mike was devoted to following and continuing the success within Tim Lally Chevrolet!
Decisions must be made
This led to the ultimate question – do we stay here in this Bedford Auto Mile location or do we make a major investment spending roughly 15 million dollars and relocate to a more highway friendly location? While it would be tough to leave the current location, Mike knew he could give current and future customers so much more if the dealership was completely rebuilt amongst three freeways with state-of-the-art equipment and technology. In the end, this would not only take Tim Lally Chevrolet to an entire new level, but we could give more to our customers who have always been there for us and supported us. While the investment was a huge upfront cost, the reward could not be matched.
Reward was greater than the risk
With the best equipment, best technology, best sales experience and best customer service, we could give back to the entire Northeastern Ohio area that has been supporting us since day one. With large investments comes large risks, but it surely has turned into the ultimate reward. The dealership still offers all of the unique facilities that were offered at the old dealership, including a mini movie theatre, a play area for the kiddos, and a complimentary manicurist. Honestly, have you ever heard of a dealership that provides those?! The thought and effort put into making this a warm and welcoming environment is unbelievable.
The bottom line
At the end of the day, our number one job is to please our customers. Without them, none of this is possible which made the decision
easy to make the large investment, change locations, and become the best version of Tim Lally Chevrolet that we possibly could. This all starts with having a happy, healthy and dedicated staff. We try our absolute best to be there for our employees at all times and provide them with the best of the best including air conditioning in all areas and a device that can pick up and install tires on vehicles, so technicians don’t even have to touch the tires. Afterall, who can really be at the top of their game if they are miserably hot or cold lifting heavy tires all day? It wouldn’t be easy, that’s for sure.
